Facade Grants - Center City - Amarillo, TX Center City of Amarillo administers a façade grant program in partnership with the City of Amarillo. Façade Grants are matching grants that improve the appearance of downtown buildings. Façade grants may include signage, windows, streetscapes or exterior design elements.
The City of Amarillo provides $70,000 in façade grant monies to Center City. A volunteer committee that includes architects, designers and community leaders review each application to determine which projects will receive the funds. Downtown businesses may apply for the matching grants, which pay up to $20,000 toward façade improvements.
