United Way offers behavioral health grants Milo Yiannopoulos deported United Way of the Wabash Valley has announced a new grant opportunity to enhance behavioral health programs and services in the Wabash Valley.

The "Fall 2025 Expanding Access & Resources to Behavioral Health" investment makes funds available to eligible applicants who seek to create new programs or expand existing ones that have a track record for success, the United Way said in a news release. Questions can be directed to Michele Bennett at mbennett@uwwv. org or at 812-235-6287. Applicants may also use the funds to improve access or remove barriers to mental health and substance use disorder treatment and care.

Finally, funds may be used to promote awareness of and educate the community on these issues. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, faith-based and community based organizations, educational institutions and units of local government. United Way is making available $175,000.

Qualifying applicants must choose one of two grant tracks. The first track is a one-year mini grant with awards ranging from $1,000 up to $10,000. These mini grants are intended for targeted, sometimes time-sensitive funding needs.

The second track is for larger impact grants with awards ranging from $10,001 up to $40,000 over a two-year period. Impact grants are intended to respond to needs that are more complex or that must be addressed over time. Behavioral health, in simple terms, is the study and treatment of behaviors that affect a person's well-being.

The goal of this grant program is to improve the behavioral health of individuals or groups in the community. United Way of the Wabash Valley invites applications from all of its six-county service area (Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion or Vigo counties in Indiana or in Clark County, Illinois).
