Family Planning Services | South Carolina Department of Public Health South Carolina's Family Planning provides high quality and confidential reproductive services to women, men and teens. You can receive quality health care at affordable rates. Services are based on a sliding fee scale, which means you pay according to your income.
Family Planning services are available in all 46 counties. To find a clinic near you, please visit the Public Health Clinics page or call the Care Line at 1-855-472-3432 . Additional resources can be found in the Directory of Community Health and Public Services .
These are some of the many services provided: Birth control available on Site (providing up to one year of birth control supplies) Low or no-cost services for women, men and teens Educational and counseling services Laboratory and pregnancy testing HIV risk assessment (education, counseling and testing) Clients who are at-risk of an unintended pregnancy are offered a broad range of effective medically-approved birth control methods , including: Instruction in abstinence Hormonal and non-hormonal contraceptives Intrauterine devices (IUD) Barrier contraceptives (condoms) Instruction in natural family planning methods Provided as required by federal regulations Provided solely on a voluntary basis Offered in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to discrimination Understanding Preconception Health
