Women’s Giving Circle Grants – Application Opens The Women’s Giving Circle Grants Advisory Committee accepts applications for programs, capital and operating expenses that meet the following criteria: increase life skills of women, encourage the healthy development and personal authority of young girls, improve the quality of life for families in Washington County, improve the emotional and physical well-being of all females.
Curtis Uzelac Family Fund – Application Opens This award, created in memory of Curtis Uzelac, will provide an annual grant through a qualifying organization to support young adult(s) (ages 16-21) from Washington County, Maryland or the surrounding area who is pursuing a 4H or FFA project, or agricultural endeavor.
Kevin Barkdoll Livestock Memorial Fund – Application Opens This award, created in memory of Kevin Barkdoll, will provide an annual grant through a qualifying organization to support a member of FFA and/or 4-H from Washington County, Maryland, or the surrounding area, who is pursuing an agricultural endeavor.
Gene Wiles Memorial Award – Application Opens This award, created in memory of Gene Wiles, will provide an annual grant through a qualifying organization to support a young adult (ages 16-21) from Washington County, Maryland, or the surrounding area, who is pursuing an agricultural endeavor.
Youth Unplanned Pregnancy Prevention Fund - Application Opens The Teen Pregnancy Prevention Fund provides financial support for current initiatives that address teen pregnancy prevention and unsafe sexual practices of teens in Washington County, MD.
Together With Families Fund – Application Opens This fund was created to support local programs that promote optimal development of young children with activities for children and caregivers and education to help parents understand child development milestones and behaviors; to support local programs which promote the stability of families at risk of poverty, abuse, and neglect by assisting and supporting them to develop more effective parenting skills and to fulfill their educational, work, family and personal goals.
Adam R. Barnhart Inclusive Athlete Fund – Application Opens Created in memory of Adam R. Barnhart, this fund shall provide financial support for current initiatives that support areas of participation of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in inclusive, competitive athletics.
George R. Moore Wildlife Preservation Fund – Application Opens This fund supports organizations working to preserve wildlife in Washington County, MD. The Elizabeth Niemyer Cat Fund - Application Opens This fund was created with a gift from the Elizabeth Niemyer estate to provide funding to nonprofits that spay, neuter, and vaccinate the feral cat population.
Charlotte Hawbaker Fund for Adult Day Services and Adult Respite Care – Application Opens This fund is intended for the sole support of organizations that offer Adult Day Services and or Adult Respite Care in Washington County, MD.

Andrew Bryan Farnen Fund for Gifted and Talented Youth – Application Opens The Andrew Bryan Farnen Fund for Gifted and Talented Youth will make an annual grant in memory of Andrew, who was known for his love of both the arts and sciences, particularly mathematics, at which he excelled.
Grants will be made to help students explore their passion through the purchase of musical instruments, art supplies, computers, books, experiences, and other educational materials.
