Film SPC Screen Industry Incentive Program is sponsored by St. Pete-Clearwater Film Commission (Pinellas County). This program offers a cash rebate on qualified production expenditures for projects filming in Pinellas County.

It aims to inspire travel by showcasing the area through film and television.

DUVAL COUNTY (Jacksonville) The Jacksonville Film & Television Program is a performance-based program structured to attract high wage film, television and commercial productions opportunities to Jacksonville (Duval County) that will hire area professionals and purchase goods and services from local businesses.

The program utilizes a sliding scale based on the total qualified expenditures. The program is based upon meeting minimum thresholds on qualified expenditures and hiring of Duval County residents. Click HERE for more information.

Film & Television Program – Tier 1: $400,000 min. Duval spend, 15% rebate capped at $149,999 – Tier 2: $1,000,000 min. Duval spend, 20% rebate capped at $400,000 – $75,000 min.

Duval spend, 15% rebate capped at $150,000 Fostering Filmmakers Grant Program – $10,000 grant for Duval County filmmakers – Must provide proof of matching funds (min. of $10,000) – Up to 3 grants available per year HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY (Tampa) Hillsborough County offers a marketing grant of up to 10% (payout capped at $150,000. 00 per project) based on the assessed marketing value of projects filming in the Tampa Bay area.

This includes but is not limited to local spending, the number of days filming, attractions or iconic locations unique to Tampa featured family friendliness, and notable cast attachments. All applications are processed on a “first come‐first served” basis, and are subject to available funding. Approved projects must film within the same fiscal year as the approved application.

To qualify, projects must include hotel room nights, and prominently feature, highlight, or brand Orange County and/or municipalities. Such promotional content shall include clear and recognizable depictions of Orange County’s assets. Promotes tourism in Orange County.

$250,000 minimum spend in Orange County on Qualifying Payroll and Qualifying Expenditures. Must apply prior to principal photography. 10% rebate capped at $50,000 per Production Project.

Must include Orange County hotel room nights. Must provide documentation demonstrating efforts to hire local cast and crew like job postings, union inquiries. Only Orange County residents will count towards qualifying expenditures.

Hire five qualified students or qualified graduates from film related programs in Orange County (college, university or technical school). Must provide documentation showing proof of the Qualified Student or Qualified Graduate. Only Orange County students and graduates will count towards qualifying expenditures If the awardee sets up production offices and/or soundstages, they must be based in Orange County.

The TV and Film Incentive Program is a performance-based incentive designed to attract visitors working in the TV and film industry to do their productions in Orange County. It also provides an opportunity to promote and advertise tourism by leveraging the wide-reaching exposure provided by TV and film productions to showcase the area as a desirable destination.

To qualify, projects must include hotel room nights, and prominently feature, highlight, or brand Orange County and/or municipalities. Such promotional content shall include clear and recognizable depictions of Orange County’s assets. Promotes tourism in Orange County.

$400,000 minimum expenditure in Orange County on Qualifying Payroll and Qualifying Expenditures (hotel rooms, local spend on labor, catering, wardrobe, equipment, etc.). 20% rebate capped at $1 million per Production Project. Must include Orange County hotel room nights.

Recognition of Orange County and municipal locations in the credits and scripts/visuals if using Orange County or municipalities in the story. Must provide documentation demonstrating efforts to hire local cast and crew like job postings, and union inquiries. Only Orange County residents will count towards qualifying expenditures.

Hire five qualified students or qualified graduates from film related programs in Orange County (college, university or technical school). The channel broadcasts more than 60 hours of original, high-quality, family-friendly programming. The Palm Beaches TV (PBTV), which launched in 2017, is designed to support and stimulate tourism by offering an insider’s look into the area’s top attractions for travel and production.

The FTC created a Sponsorship & Development program to cultivate, and sponsor shows that further develop the expansive library of original content specific to tourism in The Palm Beaches. Shows considered for sponsorship funding are required to have distribution outside The Palm Beaches marketplace, reaching the homes of potential visitors. The programs then stream on The Palm Beaches TV channel where they can also be viewed OnDemand.

Programming for PBTV is produced by regional production companies and the Sponsorship & Development program has been effective in generating new business for the local production community, helping offset the impact of not having a state incentive program. PBTV is an innovative marketing platform designed to enhance the visitor experience with stories that are unique to Palm Beach County.

The FTC and TDC work together to vet all projects prior to be presented at the Sponsorship & Development Committee for sponsorship approval. While the TDC gives final approval for content on the channel, PBTV is owned, operated, marketed, and distributed by Olympusat, a global media company based in West Palm Beach. 1000. PINELLAS COUNTY (St. Petersburg/Clearwater) The Film SPC Screen Industry Incentive Program offers a 10-20% cash rebate on total qualified above-the-line and below-the-line production expenditures of the project.

There is $100k minimum spend requirement in Pinellas County. Eligible project types include: TV series (full or partial seasons) – which includes unscripted or Reality TV Web series with significant distribution potential Music videos featuring major artists The cash rebate has a cap of $300k on a per project basis. Eligibility is determined through a committee review process by the Film SPC Committee.

The aim of the program is to inspire travel by showcasing St. Pete-Clearwater through film, television, and digital media productions and creating a measurable economic impact. To qualify, your project must have a fully executed agreement with Pinellas County and meet all mutually agreed-upon deliverables.
