Financial Aid Fund is sponsored by Child Mind Institute. The Child Mind Institute's Financial Aid Fund helps patients in need overcome the barrier of cost that often hinders access to care for mental health and learning disorders.

At the Child Mind Institute, we believe that every child deserves the support they need to succeed, and every family deserves access to compassionate, gold-standard clinical care.

Our Financial Aid Fund was developed to help patients in need overcome the barrier of cost that too often hinders access to care. Since its inception in March 2011, the Financial Aid Fund has provided over $9. 1 million in financial assistance to help over 2,440 children gain access to quality treatment at the Child Mind Institute.

Additionally, the Child Mind Institute operates a Cares Fund, which makes it possible for eligible families to come to the Child Mind Institute for treatment by defraying the cost of travel and lodging. Inspired by the desire to make high-quality treatment accessible to families living outside of New York City, former board member Lisa Domenico Brooke established the Cares Fund in 2013.

To date, the fund has distributed over $427,000 to over 200 families from 37 states and 13 nations. ## Global Reach, Lifesaving Impact Families travel from all around the world to access the evidence-based care that the Child Mind Institute provides. Our clinicians have treated patients from 45 countries, 49 states and Washington, DC.

Mental health and learning disorders that go untreated in childhood lead to academic failure, substance abuse, clashes with the juvenile justice system, and even suicide. By receiving high-quality evidence-based care early, children have a better chance of overcoming their struggles and growing up to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
