Financial Education Grants – Kansas Office of the State Bank Commissioner Consumers Financial Education Grants Financial Education Grants Protecting and educating Kansas consumers is an important part of the work we do every day at the OSBC. In fact, it is part of our mission statement.
OSBC Mission Statement – Ensure the integrity of regulated providers of financial services through responsible and proactive oversight, while protecting and educating consumers. Over the last 5 years the OSBC has reached over 100,000 consumers using Consumer Education Grant funds to sponsor local programs. Grant funds are awarded to organizations that provide financial literacy (money management skills) to Kansas consumers.

Consumer education funds come from fines and settlements with companies within the regulatory jurisdiction of the Consumer and Mortgage Lending Division of the OSBC; therefore, available grant funds can fluctuate from year to year.
