Available to high school seniors within FPL’s service area who have participated in FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology ) , VEX Robotics ,or B. E. S.
T(Boosting Engineering Science & Technology) Robotics Competition for two or more years. Applications are now closed. Winners will be announced in June 2026.
Congratulations to Umair Kazi the 2025 recipient of the FPL Robotics Scholarship, who is currently attending the Georgia Tech University. The NextEra Energy Foundation is proud to provide a scholarship opportunity to reward students whose experience has inspired their interest in an engineering or information management career.
Two $5,000, renewable scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who have participated in FIRST, VEX Robotics or B. E. S.

” The NextEra Energy Foundation will award up to 10 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have at least one year of experience in a SECME (Science, Engineering, Communication, Mathematics, and Enrichment) program in one of the following counties: Brevard, Broward, Escambia, Flagler, Hendry, Manatee, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Seminole and Volusia.
The reward will be $5,000 per year, renewable for up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first – up to $20,000. The recipients of this scholarship must plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
FPL Workforce Development Scholarships FPL is committed to building a skilled and diverse workforce by investing in programs that empower students and young professionals to explore exciting careers in energy and STEM fields. New this year, three workforce development scholarships are available. Applications are now closed.
FPL Drones in School Scholarship The NextEra Energy Foundation is proud to offer a $5,000 scholarship to one high school senior who has participated in the Drones in Schools program for a minimum of two years, with completion occurring within the last two years in FPL's service area.
This scholarship supports students planning to enroll full-time in a post-secondary vocational, technical, trade school or two- to four-year college or university for the entire 2026-27 academic year. Applications are now closed. Winners will be announced in June 2026.
