Flagler Recovery Grant Program In May 2021, the City of Miami began the Downtown Flagler Street Beautification Projec t, which aims to transform Flagler Street into a lively, festival-style boulevard. While this project promises to enhance the area, the ongoing construction has made it challenging for small businesses, particularly those still bouncing back from COVID-19.
To help, the Miami DDA launched the Flagler Recovery Grant Program, designed to provide extra support to businesses within the construction zone. Property Improvement Grant Program The Property Improvement Grant Program offers funding to help small businesses make exterior upgrades that boost curb appeal and enhance the overall image of the central business district.
By improving storefronts, this program aims to attract more customers, retain businesses, and drive economic growth in the area. Eligible businesses can receive grants covering up to 50% of the cost of approved exterior improvements, with a maximum grant amount of $50,000.
