Flood Relief Fund

Flood Relief Fund is sponsored by United Way Fox Cities and Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region. Grants are available to local nonprofits and churches serving residents in Outagamie, Calumet, Shawano, Waupaca, and the Neenah/Menasha area of Winnebago counties who are engaging in relief efforts both short-term and long-term related to recent severe flooding.

2026 Flooding Community Response Fund - Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region Nonprofit Leadership Initiative Nonprofit Leadership Initiative In response to the historic flooding that devastated communities across our region this spring, the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and United Way Fox Cities activated the Community Response Fund on April 17, 2026.

Together, we are working to move resources responsibly to support the nonprofits and community organizations at the center of flood relief and recovery. The Community Response Fund will support nonprofit and other community organizations engaging in relief, short-term response or longer-term recovery in Outagamie, Calumet, Shawano, Waupaca, and the Neenah-Menasha area of Winnebago counties following a community emergency.

This fund is a partnership between the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and United Way Fox Cities , ensuring resources are directed where they are needed most. Donate to the Community Response Fund Supporting the Work. Sustaining the Organizations.

The 2026 Flooding Community Response Fund is focused on two equally important goals: Meeting the immediate and longer-term needs of community members affected by the flooding and sustaining the organizational capacity of the groups doing the recovery and response work.

Grants distributed from the Community Response Fund support nonprofits serving residents across Outagamie, Calumet, Shawano, Waupaca, and the Neenah-Menasha area of Winnebago counties. Prioritization is given to charitable organizations serving those facing the greatest barriers to recovery including older adults, people with disabilities, low-income households, individuals experiencing homelessness, and non-English-speaking families.

Grants Awarded from the Community Response Fund List of Grant Recipients* CAP Services, Inc. : $25,000 for the purpose of financial assistance, case management and operational support for the flood efforts associated with the Community Response Fund. Multicultural Coalition, Inc.: $20,000 for the purpose of financial assistance, case management and operational support for the flood efforts associated with the Community Response Fund.

The Salvation Army Fox Cities: $6,500 for the purpose of financial assistance to flood victims for the flood efforts associated with the Community Response Fund. Volunteer Fox Cities: $5,000 for the purpose of operational support for the flood efforts associated with the Community Response Fund.

Who determines how the funds are distributed Grants are recommended by an internal advisory process involving staff from the Community Foundation and United Way, informed by the Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG), and approved by the CFFVR Board of Directors. We are committed to moving resources quickly and adapting to evolving needs as recovery progresses.

Grants from this fund support the following areas: Organizational Capacity: Support for organizations experiencing increased operational demand as a direct result of the disaster, including volunteer coordination, donated goods management, and other functions that keep recovery efforts running .

Case Management: Coordination of services and navigation support for affected residents . Housing and Safe Shelter: Safe and stable housing, temporary shelter, and support for displaced residents . Food: Emergency food access and ongoing food security for affected households .

Health and Well-Being: Physical, mental, and behavioral health needs arising from or worsened by the disaster . Financial Assistance: Established nonprofit programs providing emergency financial support to individuals .

Eligibility, Who Can Apply 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations Groups fiscally sponsored by a qualified 501(c)(3) Churches and other public entities able to receive tax-deductible contributions We are not able to fund private foundations, individuals or businesses directly, labor unions, or 501(c)(4), 501(c)(5), or 501(c)(6) organizations.
