Scholarships/Grants - Florida Nurses Association Advancing the Profession of Nursing and Promoting a Healthy Florida Florida Nurses Foundation Submit a Speaker Proposal Nursing Research Conference Clinical Excellence Conference Foundation Scholarships and Research Grants Nursing Scholarships and Grants Supporting Current and Future Nurses The Florida Nurses Foundation exists to promote nursing and delivery of healthcare through the advancement of research, education and practice.
Each year, the Foundation awards scholarships and grants to qualified registered nurses and students. The Foundation has been able to support hundreds of nurses over the decades thanks to the hard work and generous donations of FNA members and supporters of the nursing community. There are over 30 scholarships and grants that have been endowed by FNA members.

Nursing Scholarship Applications Research Grant Applications Please carefully review the full scholarship guidelines before starting your application. Scholarship Application Guidelines The annual submission window is January 1 - June 1.
Submissions outside of this window are not accepted. To apply for Florida Nurses Foundation Scholarship, you must complete our online application, submit one letter of reference, and send us your current official or unofficial transcript. Please note that applicants do not apply for a specific scholarship fund but are matched to the scholarship which best fits their qualifications.
Notifications of acceptance are sent between July and August with funds distributed in September. Scholarship recipients are invited to attend the Annual Foundation Luncheon each September to be recognized. The typical scholarship amount is $1,000.

Research Grant Application Guidelines The annual submission window is January 1 to June 1. When additional funding is available, a second application window will be opened from September 1 to December 1. All application materials must be submitted using the upload portal.
Please refer to the guidelines for detailed instructions on what to submit. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted. Notifications of acceptance are sent between July and August with funds distributed in September.

Current Application Deadline: June 1 Go the Grant Application Upload Portal Palm Beach County Friends of Youth Services Nursing Scholarship The Palm Beach County Friends of Youth Services Nursing Scholarship was established in 2023 to encourage Palm Beach County students to pursue a registered nurse education and to study and work in the county.
Recipients of the scholarship will be awarded $4,500 annually for two years to be distributed directly to their academic institution. Priority will be given to applicants who are residents of Palm Beach County (PBC) and/or have attended or are attending secondary school in PBC and have been accepted into an eligible associate nursing degree program in PBC.
