The STOP Grants aim to enhance responses to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking by law enforcement, prosecution, courts, and victim services. This Request for Applications (RFA) seeks to fund eligible organizations to implement projects that strengthen law enforcement and prosecution strategies against violent crimes targeting women and enhance victim services.
The Provider shall deliver core victim services and criminal justice initiatives while supporting complementary new initiatives and emergency services for victims and their families. The primary objective is to develop, expand, and strengthen trauma-informed services for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
Services will be provided in specified counties with administrative offices operational from 8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p.
m. , Monday through Friday. The Provider is responsible for determining client eligibility based on its application and must maintain all necessary equipment for service delivery.
Additionally, the Provider must collaborate with local certified domestic violence centers if not certified itself. The contract will span from fiscal year 2025-2026 through fiscal year 2026-2027. Services will be delivered in specified counties within Florida as determined by the Provider's application.
The Provider must comply with various federal and state requirements including civil rights compliance, financial audits if federal awards exceed $750,000 in a fiscal year, and adherence to specific guidelines under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
