FOND-ICO Sustainability and Infrastructure Fund | Plataforma One Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO). 31 December 2024 al 31 December 2028 Between €10 million and €30 million per investment, with the possibility of assessing projects outside this range depending on their strategic value.
Sustainability and impact FOND-ICO Sustainability and Infrastructure Fund The objective of the FOND-ICO Sustainability and Infrastructure Fund is to promote investment in sustainable projects and strategic infrastructure that contribute to the ecological transition and economic growth.
The Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO), through AXIS , its venture capital management company, promotes the FOND-ICO Sustainability and Infrastructure Fund, a public investment fund aimed at participating, as an institutional and long-term investor, in sustainable infrastructure projects with economic and social impact.
The fund invests on a minority basis in projects and specialised vehicles linked to sectors such as the energy transition, the environment, mobility, transport infrastructure and social infrastructure, contributing to the development of a more sustainable and decarbonised economy.
Its activity is framed within a public–private partnership model, designed to support the financial viability of capital-intensive projects with long-term investment horizons.
The FOND-ICO Sustainability and Infrastructure Fund may participate either through direct equity investment or via subordinated debt instruments or participating loans, as well as through its involvement in specialised sustainable infrastructure funds whose capital is predominantly private. Investments are primarily allocated to the financing of new investments directly linked to the projects.
Through this approach, the fund acts as a stable and flexible investment agent, strengthening the financial structure of projects and contributing to the development of key infrastructure for the competitiveness and sustainability of the Spanish economy. Corporates or companies, investment agents, public entities, associations or innovation centres.
To develop projects or activities in the fields of sustainability, infrastructure or strategic sectors. To have headquarters in Spain or a significant impact within the country. To be eligible to receive investment through funds or vehicles in which the FOND-ICO Sustainability and Infrastructure Fund participates.
