United Way of Allen County Priority Area Grants United Way of Allen County is a mission-driven organization dedicated to boldly addressing the community’s most critical needs through collaborative, data-informed solutions.
Guided by extensive community engagement and research, United Way of Allen County aligns its work to improve quality of life for households struggling to meet basic needs, particularly ALICE families, who comprise nearly 40% of households in Allen County. In the past year, United Way of Allen County invested over $1. 8 million into the community through grants, strategic initiatives, and partnerships.
We remain dedicated to funding these efforts through a strategic investment process called our Priority Area Grants. These grants, awarded annually, target specific needs within our community and are directed toward the most urgent challenges while sustaining broader community impact.
United Way of Allen County offers annual grants to support projects and programs that align with our strategic priority areas of: Food Distribution – Increasing access to essential food for households in need Housing Financial Assistance – Strengthening housing stability in the community Shelter Services – Supporting the transition from shelters to permanent housing solutions 2026-2027 Priority Area Grant applications are CLOSED.
Our grantees will be announced in September.
