Our community benefit activities reflect work in transforming healthcare as well as the confluence of factors that impact health and well-being — socio-economic and environmental factors, lifestyle, and educational components of health and quality of life.

On the Florida campus, community benefit activities include investment in programs and initiatives designed to improve the health, well-being and quality of life for local and regional residents and communities.

Mayo Clinic provides funding and in-kind support for new and existing programs and initiatives that address significant and emergent unmet or underfunded needs specific to our health need priorities of access to care, mental health and access to nutritious foods, in addition to addressing health disparities.

Community benefit activities align efforts to enhance the clinic's capacity to meet its mission, improve individual and overall community health, enable long-term capacity building and sustainability, and accelerate collaborative endeavors with other community agencies, organizations, and constituents.

Every three years, Mayo Clinic and community partners review local data and gather community input to identify the most important health priorities in Northeast Florida.

Based on these findings, we develop an implementation plan that outlines our approach to addressing the top three community health priorities.

Access to nutritious food 2026 - 2028 Implementation Plan Mayo Clinic in Florida Community Contributions Program Mayo Clinic’s community investments help strengthen the places we share — supporting programs that improve health, expand access and build a welcoming community for everyone who lives, works, or visits here.

Through collaboration with local organizations, we support programs, initiatives and events that create lasting, positive impacts on community well‑being. Eligible nonprofit organizations may apply for one community grant per fiscal year. Available funding is limited, and not all requests can be funded; applications are reviewed competitively.

The funding average is in the $5,000 - $7,500 range with a maximum award amount of $10,000 if there is strong mission and strategic priority alignment. We’re especially interested in efforts that align with our most recent Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and clearly demonstrate a meaningful impact on community health and well‑being.

Eligibility and alignment Registered nonprofit organizations serving the residents of Northeast Florida County Region (Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St.

Johns Counties) Priority is given to efforts that demonstrate one or more of the following: Align with CHNA priorities Improve the health and wellness of the individuals and communities we serve Enable long-term community capacity building and sustainability Demonstrate partnership-building and collaboration Requests we are unable to support Financing for the sole purpose of organizational debt relief Labor or fraternal organizations Political campaigns, candidates, parties, or partisan activities Religious organizations for theological purposes Replacement of funds already allocated or awarded Requests benefiting a single individual Reimbursement for expenses already incurred Organizations with little or no presence in our service area Programs that limit participation based on race, age, religion, national origin, marital status, color, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, genetic information, veteran status or public assistance status To discuss your proposal prior to submitting a request, please contact us at: flacommunityrelations@mayo.

Application windows are as follows: Application period: January 1 – January 31, 2026 Application period: April 1 – April 30, 2026 Access to Nutritious Foods Application period: July 1 – July 31, 2026 Please submit your application during the corresponding window for the funding area you wish to pursue. Event sponsorships will continue to be reviewed monthly.
