Food Safety Outreach Program (FSOP) | NIFA The lifecycle of grants and cooperative agreements consists of four phases: Pre-Award, Award, Post-Award, and Close Out. The National Institute of Food and Agriculture is committed to serving its stakeholders, Congress, and the public by using new technologies to advance greater openness.

Food Safety Outreach Program (FSOP) NIFA’s Food Safety Outreach Competitive Grant Program (FSOP) focuses on delivering customized training to community members via Community Outreach Projects and Collaborative Education and Training projects. This includes on-farm and on-site training and/or technical assistance that focuses on pre- and post-harvest water testing and sampling, soil amendments, developing supply chain programs, and/or developing food safety plans.
