Charitable Grants | Frankenmuth Insurance We’re committed to giving back to not-for-profit organizations . In the spirit of neighbor helping neighbor, the Frankenmuth Insurance Charitable Foundation was founded in 2016 to support qualified charities. The foundation supports tax-exempt, not-for-profit organizations and governmental units focused on community betterment and basic human needs.
To be considered for a grant, applicants must provide their services in the states where Frankenmuth Insurance operates. Those states include Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
What the Frankenmuth Charitable Foundation supports The foundation focuses on supporting the following types of causes: Building better communities Basic human needs, such as affordable housing and food Disease research, preventive solutions, and general health and wellness programs Music, theater, and the arts Organizations we’ve supported Some examples of not-for-profit organizations we’ve supported include: Food kitchens and food banks Domestic violence shelters What the Frankenmuth Charitable Foundation does not support The foundation does not contribute to the following types of causes: Educational or scholarship endeavors Political action groups or political candidates for public office Projects normally financed by governments Amateur or professional sporting groups Trips, tours, or transportation Conferences, forums, or special events Foundations that are primarily grant-making agencies Discriminatory or potentially controversial organizations or activities Organizations named after or affiliated in any way with other insurance carriers or their past or present leaders Operational costs for charitable organizations What you need to know about our application process All applications for charitable funding will be reviewed and approved by the Frankenmuth Insurance Charitable Foundation committee.
To be considered for a grant, the submitting organization must complete our online Frankenmuth Insurance Foundation application form .
The application form requires: Proof of exemption from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) or classified as other than a private foundation under Code 509(a) or Verification that the organization falls under governmental units described in Code 170(c)(1), provided that the grant is exclusively for public services Budget and other financial statements Applications are evaluated based on the following: Extent to which the submitted program aligns with our focus areas Clear and measurable program objectives and outcomes Fiscal responsibility of the organization and program Amount and availability of support from other funding sources Fully completed grant application If your organization receives a grant, you may be asked to provide a follow-up report with information, such as: Participation information Significant outcomes and measures of success Opportunities for improvement If you feel your organization meets our grant criteria, please visit our application page to submit your grant request.
