Franklin County RISE - Future Ready Five Improving the Accessibility of Child Care in Franklin County The Franklin County RISE program helps to make child care and early education experiences more accessible to all. In partnership with Franklin County and Action for Children , Future Ready Five assists in administering the program, which offers funding to boost child care enrollment, staffing, and strengthen child care programs.

We are offering child care scholarships* of up to $9,000 each for children ages birth to kindergarten attending a licensed Franklin County child care program to: Assist with child care tuition Help you support your child’s growth and readiness for Kindergarten Strengthen the Franklin County community Franklin County RISE is proud to support early childhood educators who play a critical role in the lives of children and families in Central Ohio.
Franklin County RISE is proud to support early childhood educators with the 2025 Educator Awards, recognizing their dedication to professional growth and excellence. A total of $100,000 will be awarded to educators who attain a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate’s Degree (AA) in early childhood education between December 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025.
Educators who earn a CDA will receive a $1,000 award, while those earning an AA will receive $1,500. Future Ready Five is excited to partner with Action for Children to offer Franklin County child care providers the tools to strengthen their programs and continue providing exceptional child care.
Family child care programs may apply for up to six scholarships on behalf of families with children ages birth to kindergarten, and child care centers may apply for up to ten scholarships on behalf of families with children ages birth to kindergarten.
