The Freedom to Help Foundation is another step in our commitment to “people helping people” and will further enable us to enrich the lives of so many in our shared communities.
And now, our members, neighbors, and business and community partners, can also help support the good we can do. Freedom Federal Credit Union announced the launch of The Freedom to Help Foundation in January, 2023. The Freedom to Help Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization created to expand the Credit Union’s philanthropic and community support.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our second annual fundraiser, the Freedom Rocks ’25 Bull and Shrimp Roast in Support of The Freedom to Help Foundation! We loved rocking out with you, and we are grateful for your support. In partnership with the Community College of Baltimore County Foundation, the Foundation provided financial support to fund two scholarships to students entering the nursing program and general studies.
Funds were also used to provide much-needed resources and supplies for CCBC’s food pantry along with books and supplies for at-need students. MedStar Health Foundation The F2HF provided financial support to the MedStar Foundation to support wellness programs for staff who selflessly care for their patients.
Through the construction of a new fitness center for staff and the creation of daily wellness carts, the F2HF proudly supports MedStar in the betterment of their employees’ lives. The Arc NCR has helped people with differing abilities build better lives one person at a time.
The F2HF provided funding to support their Community Partners Program , building life skills that center on health, wellness and personal independence by offering education and training paired with practical experiences. SARC works within the Harford County communities, towards the prevention of domestic violence.
The F2HF awarded financial support to their Phelan Safehouse, a 40-bed facility that will be a healthy and healing home where victims of partner violence can begin to rebuild their lives.

The Homeless Youth Program is a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services that funds services for homeless and at-risk youth across Illinois.
