Cold Chain Grants for Emergency Food Assistance (CCG) Program is sponsored by U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service. This program strengthens the ability of food banks, food pantries, and other emergency food assistance organizations to safely store and distribute nutritious foods such as meat, eggs, dairy products, seafood, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Funding supports cold storage and food distribution equipment.
Cold Chain Grants for Emergency Food Assistance Program is sponsored by USDA Agricultural Marketing Service. This program provides grants to nonprofit organizations that will, in turn, administer competitive subaward programs. These subawards are for cold storage and distribution equipment for food banks, food pantries, and other emergency food assistance operations. The goal is to improve their ability to provide high-quality meats, eggs, seafood, dairy, and fresh and minimally processed fruits and vegetables to vulnerable Americans. Subgrants can cover cold chain equipment, delivery, installation, and necessary related supplies, up to $200,000. Sub-awardees are required to provide a 10% cash match.
