Fudan-UC Center Small Grants is sponsored by Fudan-UC Center. These small grants support China-related lectures, workshops, or conferences organized by UC faculty.

California-Shanghai Innovation Dialogue Young Scholars Conference Grants for China Studies at University of California The Fudan-UC Center on Contemporary China offers grants to support events and research activities related to China studies, organized by University of California faculty and researchers.

These grants can fund public lectures, workshops, or conferences addressing contemporary Chinese politics, economics, law, environment, society, or culture. All UC faculty and programs are eligible to apply. Each academic year, the Fudan-UC Center allocates funds to support China-related events at UC campuses.

Funding ranges from up to $1,000 for a single lecture to up to $6,000 for workshops or conferences with multiple participants. There is no fixed deadline for small grants; however, applications must be submitted at least 45 days before the event. Funding is awarded on a rolling basis until the annual budget is exhausted.

The Center awards one major conference grant of up to $25,000 per academic year. The application deadline is Oct. 1 each year.

Applicants are encouraged to seek additional funding, including matching funds from their home institution. Award decisions will take into account the event's proposed budget and any potential or secured external funding. Application & Review Process Applications must be submitted at least 45 days before the planned event date.
