Fund for Trans Generations (FTG) is sponsored by Borealis Philanthropy. This fund offers rapid response applications for LGBTQ-led nonprofits, including those specific to the transgender community.

Fund for Trans Generations - Borealis Philanthropy Fund for Trans Generations FTG GRANTEE PARTNER, ORGANIZACION LATINA DE TRANS EN TEXAS FTG GRANTEE PARTNER, BALTIMORE SAFE HAVEN The Fund for Trans Generations (FTG) resources BIPOC trans-serving organizations working to advance community safety, supportive community housing, and access to health care and mental health—to build a world in which all people can live with self determination, safety, and joy.

Since the FTG’s inception in 2016, the Fund has moved over $17 million in resources to organizations at the forefront of trans justice, resulting in increased access to gender affirming care across several states, organized defense of democratic rights in the face of rising anti-trans legislation, growing mutual aid networks to ensure housing, health care, and safety for trans communities, and more critical wins.

In addition to resource mobilization, the Fund’s capacity-building offerings—including its long-term, personalized coaching, Flower Crown Project leadership development program, and safety and security trainings—have and continue to support grantee partners to weather and organize against antagonism, strengthen leadership pipelines, access fellowship, and sustain their innovative work .

The FTG prioritizes funding for trans-serving organizations that: Advance healing justice, community health, housing access, and cultural work. Provide education, employment opportunities, and pathways to economic justice. Challenge systemic violence and criminalization, and offer mutual aid and direct support.

Build trans leadership, grassroots power, and collective movement infrastructure. As a philanthropic intermediary, Borealis Philanthropy exists to bridge philanthropy to the frontlines of movements for justice.
