Department of Labor Home Page | Department of Labor File for Unemployment Insurance Learn About Unemployment Services Triangle Shirtwaist Fire Anniversary 2026 is the 115th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire that killed 146 workers. The New York State Department of Labor was created as a result to enforce stronger safety measures and protect workers from tragedies such as this.
New Yorkers who received unemployment benefits in calendar year 2025 will need to submit a 1099-G form with their tax filing for the 2025 calendar year. 1099-G forms will automatically be mailed to individuals who were paid benefits in 2025. Customers can also view and print their 1099-G online.
