The FPP Grant Program will support early outreach medical school pipeline programs across the nation that are designed to expand access to medical school education for a diverse group of talented students, as early as the 4th grade, including students traditionally underrepresented in medicine, and those that come from families with limited financial resources.

We are interested in supporting non-profit 501c3 organizations that are committed to building a diverse pipeline of future medical doctors and scientists for the physician workforce that is more representative of the U.S. population.

The purpose of the grant program is to remove the financial barrier for those students and families that want to participate in early outreach pre-med and medical school readiness pipeline programs but cannot do so without financial assistance. The FPP Grant Program at the NAPCA Foundation offer grants to tax-exempt public charities described under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.

The Foundation does not accept applications from individuals, private foundations, fiscal agents, or government units such as fire districts, municipalities, or rotary clubs (whether or not they are 501(c)(3) organizations and similar service clubs. The FPP grant program will focus its efforts to support a select group of students to receive full tuition scholarships to participate in the Medical Physician Preparation Academy’s (MPP Academy) Academic and Summer Intensive Programs for the 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Making an Unsolicited Request If you are submitting an unsolicited request, please submit a letter of inquiry (LOI) via email to NAPCA Foundation Grants Administration and include the following: A brief description of the proposed project A description of how the project fits with the work of the foundation, including the specific strategic goal that applies There are no due dates for LOIs, and we will generally respond within six to eight weeks.

About The National Scholarship Fund for Future Physicians of America (NSF-FPA): The NSF-FPA support students traditionally underrepresented in medicine to eliminate the financial barriers to obtaining a medical school education.

The NSF-FPA aims to create an equitable process by providing funding for unmet financial needs related to: unpaid summer internships related to medicine, preparation for medical school, participation in pipeline programs, MCAT test preparation, medical school application costs, medical school admissions costs, and medical school tuition/fees.

Support in these key areas creates a fair and equitable process for all students, regardless of race and ethnicity to become a licensed medical physician.
