FY2027 SAFER Request for Proposal ## **School Access for Emergency Response Grant Announcement** The Colorado Office of School Safety is happy to announce the availability of funds through The School Access for Emergency Response program (SAFER) enacted by SB23-241 provides funding for interoperable communication hardware, software, equipment maintenance and training to allow for seamless communications between existing school communications systems and first responder communications systems.
## **Application and Review Process** All eligible applications, EOP, MOUs , and Implementation plans received by the submission deadline Tuesday, May 11, 2026 by 5:00 PM MST, will be reviewed by the grant selection committee (GSC). Ensure that you thoroughly review the application guidebook prior to completing the application for instructions on completing and submitting your application!
