Accelerators | Nevada SSBCI Battle Born Growth has funded two accelerator programs – Gener8tor, StartupNV – that are open to all Nevadan entrepreneurs. Each program has cohorts in both north and south of the state. gener8tor , a national accelerator program, supports startups, founders, workers, employers, artists and musicians across race, place and gender.
Partnering with companies, governments, universities and nonprofits, gener8tor operates programs in more than 41 communities across 22 states and two countries. In 2021 and 2022, Fast Company named gener8tor one of the Best Workplaces for Innovators. Funded by Battle Born Growth, gener8tor has launched two Nevada Investment Accelerator programs.
The programs are targeted at high potential startups based in Nevada, startups do not need to have revenue to be accepted into the program but there is a stringent and competitive selection process. The cohorts are annual. The accelerators, based in Las Vegas and Reno , each select five high-growth startups.
The chosen companies receive a concierge, impact-driven experience with access to gener8tor’s vast network of mentors and investors as well as a guaranteed $100K investment in their companies. The investment accelerators run for 12 weeks and culminate in a premiere showcase event for the startup founders to engage with investors, corporations and the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
You can see more about the programs and apply at the gener8tor websites for Las Vegas and Reno . Program Manager: Gener8tor StartUpNV is a non-profit statewide startup accelerator program with co-working locations in Las Vegas and Reno. The accelerator offers a minimum $100k investment through our affiliated pre-seed fund, FundNV and SSBCI.
Additional funding is available through our investor syndicate. The goal of acceleration of our member companies is to grow their sales to a $50K+ per month run rate within 6 months. At that point, StartUpNV, helps founders raise a larger round of venture capital - through demo days, key introductions, or leading a larger round through our affiliated seed fund, the 1864 Fund.
The program is for scalable startups seeking seed capital. Companies must have a strong Nevada connection - or a willingness to create a strong, lasting connection. StartUpNV operates in Las Vegas, Reno, and in Rural Nevada.
StartUpNV is non-cohort based, working with up to 10 companies concurrently. Each company constructs “go to market” plans, artifacts, and identifies key relationships. StartUpNV helps execute those plans with coaching, education, and key introductions.
The first 13 weeks are a loosely scripted review of the business, after which companies focus on selling and raising their next round. Companies apply and are admitted to the program through an online application, deck review, and subsequent pitch to the investment committee. Companies should apply to join the accelerator via StartUpNV.

OVC's Tribal Victim Services Set-Aside is a non-competitive formula program — every federally recognized Tribe that applies receives an award, sized by a population certification submitted months earlier. With the FY2026 Grants.gov deadline on August 6, 2026, here is how the formula works, what the money funds (including support for families of missing and murdered Indigenous persons), and why the March certification was the decisive step.
Read articleNIH committed $402 million across 601 multiyear-funded grants in the first eight months of FY 2026 — more than four times the pace of two years ago. The mechanism front-loads obligations into a single fiscal year, leaving less budget for new project starts and squeezing FY 2026 success rates. What researchers and institutions should be doing now.
Read articleNIH obligated $2.2 billion across more than 2,000 multiyear-funded grants in FY2025, six percent of all extramural obligations.
