We want you to assess your community’s needs and propose a solution to address existing gaps in services.

Our one-pager provides an overview of the general application that is printable for distribution to your community. We compiled questions from the community about the ARORP application process, funding requirements, and expectations. Applicants will need to get their mayor(s)’s and county judge(s)’s approval for the project to be in their community.

Some proposals submitted to ARORP include new staff relevant to opioid abatement, like a prevention specialist, peer recovery specialist, or combination of the two. Here are common salary ranges for these positions recommended by ARORP. Find the General Funding Application below.

Should you hire a grant writer? No, applications are designed to be user-friendly. Is there a deadline for any proposal?

The deadline for the coalition partnership empowerment (COPE) proposal was March 2023. The deadline for the Life Care Specialist (LCS) application was April 2024. None of the other proposal types have deadlines.

Please take your time with your application as there is no rush. Is there a limit to the number of applications you can submit? There is no limit to the number of applications an organization can submit and, because the funding will be available for over a decade, we encourage you to give each project the attention and focus it needs to be successful.

What happens if your application was funded and you cannot finish the proposed project? If you do not meet your proposed goals and objectives, funding will be recouped by ARORP. How do you ask the mayor or county judge for a signature?

Because ARORP settlement funds are owned by Arkansas cities and counties, you will need the mayor(s) and county judge(s) in your jurisdiction to sign off on your proposal. When approaching your mayor(s) or judge(s), we recommend that you request a meeting to provide a brief overview of your proposed project. Be respectful of your city and county leadership.

What materials do you need to submit if you intend to purchase/remodel/expand property?
