Get There Faster Grant - CareerSource Polk (The Get There Faster Grant is available to eligible U.S. military veterans only.) A pathway for advancing your career! Select from a wide range of in-demand careers, including aviation, healthcare, IT, education and more!
In partnership with CareerSource Tampa Bay, CareerSource Polk is proud to offer tuition assistance and training opportunities with local training providers and worksites for eligible U.S. military veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses. *Get There Faster is an eligibility-based grant. * Educational and Hands-On Training Opportunities!
The “Get There Faster” grant connects Polk County veterans with educational and training opportunities with the goal of securing long-term employment in careers that are in high demand. Grantees can select from more than 100 programs available through approved local training providers.
Recipients can also choose to gain hands-on training with local employers through On-the-Job-Training (OJT) and Employed-Worker-Training (EWT) opportunities. The “Get There Faster” grant is federally funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program (WIOA). Recipients must be deemed eligible in accordance to federal guidelines.
