Global Agriculture and Food Security Program Providing Support for Smallholder Farmers, Agribusinesses, and Countries The Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) is a multilateral partnership and financing platform dedicated to improving food and nutrition security in the world’s poorest countries.
We support smallholder farmers, agribusinesses, and countries in the world’s poorest regions, helping them withstand global shocks and build resilient, sustainable agriculture and food systems that empower vulnerable farmers, their families, and communities. Since 2010, GAFSP has mobilized over $2. 44 billion in donor funds, providing financial and technical support to projects across 55 countries.
GAFSP has reached nearly 32 million people, 41% of whom are women, and supported more than 24,600 producer organizations. GAFSP funds 323 public and private sector projects across 55 low-income countries, supporting smallholder farmers and building sustainable food systems. Climate resilience, women's empowerment, nutrition, and fragility, conflict, and violence (FCV) are at the heart of GAFSP’s mission.
