Call for Proposals | Global Agriculture and Food Security Program 2025 Eighth Call for Proposals for Producer Organizations-led Projects GAFSP allocates funds for public and producer organization-led projects via competitive, open calls for proposals. Each call includes clear instructions on eligibility, proposal requirements, and submission deadlines.

Technical Advisory Committee Eighth Call 2025 Producer Organizations GAFSP launches a $38M Call for Proposals to support projects from producer organizations that strengthen food systems, boost climate resilience, and empower rural communities. Expressions of Interest submission deadline: June 26, 2025.

Full Proposals submission deadline: November 11, 2025. Seventh Call 2023 Producer Organizations Funding from this call will support producer organizations, aiming to strengthen their capacity and enhance income and food security in vulnerable communities. GAFSP has received 41 final proposals, with more than 60% coming from the Africa region.

The total amount allocated was $33. 93 million for fifteen Producer Organizations (PO) in thirteen low-income countries across the globe. Seventh Call 2022 Country-led Projects Unlike previous GAFSP Calls, this Call was designed to fill financing gaps in country-led programs and support in-country development partners’ coordination and alignment.

We received complete applications from 28 countries, with 80% of the requested amount for investment in the Africa region. Demand for financing remains high and highlights the needs of low-income countries. Closed on December 1, 2022.

Funding from this call will support medium- to long-term COVID-19 response efforts for a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient recovery of agriculture systems in a changing climate. GAFSP received complete applications from 40 countries and 42 Producer Organizations. The total amount requested was US$888.

GAFSP received complete applications from 24 countries: Burundi, CAR, Chad, Comoros, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, DRC, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, South Sudan, Togo, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Myanmar, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Kosovo, Haiti, Yemen, and Afghanistan. This call targeted countries affected by fragility, conflict, and violence. Closed on September 10, 2019.

GAFSP received complete applications from 22 countries: Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Djibouti, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Liberia, Madagascar, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Tanzania, and Tonga. The total amount requested was US$707. 3 million.

Closed on January 9, 2017. GAFSP received complete applications from 20 countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Uganda, Zambia, Bhutan, Kyrgyz Republic, Lao PDR, and Timor-Leste, Guyana, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Yemen. The total amount requested was US$ 736.

3 million. GAFSP received complete applications from 18 countries: Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, the Gambia, Ghana, Honduras, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Lao PDR, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Nicaragua, Niger, Senegal, Tanzania, and Yemen. 6 were selected for funding.

The total amount requested was US$ 736. 3 million. Closed on March 31, 2012.

Launched on May 21, 2010, to all IDA countries that were not in non-accrual status, this call for proposals had 2 deadlines. GAFSP received complete applications from 26 countries and 12 received funding. Successful countries were awarded funding in June 2010, November 2010, or June 2011.
