Request for Proposals: Global Engagement Grants University of Minnesota faculty and staff are eligible to apply for the grants, which fund innovative projects that advance sustainable global health. CGHSR Awards Five UMN Faculty Members with Global Health Seed Grants This year’s awarded projects spanned diverse geographic regions and health contexts while also providing opportunities for student engagement.
Two UMN Faculty Members Receive CGHSR Seed to R01 Accelerator Grants Fall Information Session | Thailand: Community and Environmental Health in Chiang Mai September 15, 2026, 12:00—1:00 PM Affiliation (faculty, staff, student, partner) Student Opportunity: Global Health Independent Study CGHSR offers a global health independent study to current and incoming University of Minnesota graduate and professional students.
This is an opportunity to earn academic credit while abroad that allows students to focus on a topic of their choosing. Potential topics include global health, determinants of health, ethics, comparative analysis of health systems or similar subjects. Independent studies may be developed during fall, spring, or summer semester, for 1–3 credits.
