Accenture Corporate Citizenship Empowering the world, one community at a time We invest in our communities to help them thrive, and we continue making substantial impacts in the places around the world where we work and live. We do this through collaborating with our clients, ecosystem and nonprofit partners and also empowering our approximately 799,000 people to make a difference.

In contributing to progress against a broad spectrum of social and environmental challenges, we prioritize helping historically underserved people improve their livelihoods and empowering the next generation to build a sustainable future. Decent work is key to sustainable development. We are committed to supporting and empowering people in communities around the world as they prepare for and navigate their career journeys.

Our involvement ranges from funding NGO partner initiatives to pro-bono consulting, to our people volunteering as mentors. In fiscal 2024, together with our partners, we reached approximately 5 million people globally, including more than 86,000 through our Skills to Succeed Academy .

play automatic slide show pause automatic slide show UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited’s passport to earning We partner with UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited and others to help young people in India, Brazil and other countries in the Global South gain future-relevant skills. Since its launch in December 2021, through July 2024, the program has skilled more than 2 million young learners in India alone.

Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide In fiscal 2024, we partnered with JA Worldwide to help more than 1. 2 million young people across 19 countries gain the skills, experience, and confidence to prepare for future jobs or entrepreneurship opportunities.

Building on our strong partnership with JA Worldwide, this year we collaborated alongside Microsoft and Avanade to bring AI and sustainability learning to young people around the world, and to leverage AI and data to drive efficiencies, scale and impact.

Created in collaboration with BecomingX and others, the BecomingX Ukraine online learning platform provides career advice, digital skills and personal development courses to help Ukrainians realize their potential, gain meaningful employment and start their own businesses. This program connects aspiring entrepreneurs with volunteer mentors for one-on-one support.

With 80% of Sky’s the Limit’s entrepreneurs identifying as people of color, and 90% reporting low income, the program aims to help create a more inclusive future of work. In fiscal 2023, we matched approximately 400 entrepreneurs with Accenture mentors. A transformative program designed by Accenture in the Philippines, it offers mothers an opportunity cultivate skills for thriving careers in IT.

Tailored to accommodate mothers' unique needs and schedules through online courses and mentorship opportunities, with a focus on bridging the gender gap in IT, the program not only equips women with technical expertise but also instills confidence for a rewarding career in tech.

People and planet: Future sustainability leaders, today To help inspire and empower young people to address pressing social and environmental challenges, we have scaled our action-oriented community impact program, Sustainability Education & Action, to equip them with the mindsets, skills, and tools to effectively contribute to a more sustainable future.

Sustainability innovation challenge for young innovators Through our partnership with UNICEF Generation Unlimited's imaGen Ventures, we engage young people in addressing social and environmental challenges. In fiscal 2024, we supported approximately 20,000 innovators from diverse and historically underrepresented backgrounds around the globe through a sustainability innovation challenge.

The 10 winning teams received grants to accelerate their impact, along with mentorship from Accenture people offering expertise in areas such as AI and the circular economy. In collaboration with World’s Largest Lesson (an initiative of Project Everyone), we developed Sustainability Hour.

Available in more than 30 languages, this volunteering offering enables our people—and employees of other organizations—to host interactive hour-long sessions that inspire children to become change-makers for the Global Goals (UN SDGs).

Accenture and World Scouting partnership Accenture and World Scouting are partnering to enhance educational opportunities for Scouts globally, equipping them with the leadership, sustainability, and digital skills needed to succeed in today’s fast-paced world and build a more sustainable future.

Accenture is supporting the rollout of the new Impact Innovator Challenge badge, equipping young people with innovation and creative problem-solving skills for life.

World Economic Forum – Global Shapers As a founding member of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Innovation Prize, we helped launch this initiative, alongside the Global Alliance for YOUth, to support young leaders under 30 in creating innovative projects that help address the needs of their communities.

The 15 winning projects were recognized at the Global Shapers Summit and received funding and mentorship to deliver the next stage of impact to their communities. More than approximately 799,000 people work at Accenture, operating in more than 200 cities and 52 countries.

Around the world, we’re working together to drive positive change at meaningful scale through volunteering, eco action, social innovation and giving, supporting both social and environmental causes. Our annual Season of Impact brings our people together in scaling our collective efforts for people and planet, with more than 81,000 people participating in fiscal 2024.

Giving time to society and our planet We are committed to addressing local needs and fostering sustainable communities, offering a variety of ways for our people to volunteer for social and environmental causes.

play automatic slide show pause automatic slide show Our volunteers share skills and experience through programs like the Japanese Women's Leadership Initiative, which prepares women from 20 universities for global leadership roles, and Sky's the Limit, through which our mentors empower historically underrepresented entrepreneurs to chase their dreams.

Zooniverse is a platform for people-powered research and Accenture volunteers around the world have been supporting projects by classifying animal behaviors, natural phenomena, historical documents, outer space data and more. As citizen scientists helping protect biodiversity, our people have classified endangered species data about penguins, belugas and migrating animals in the Serengeti.

In fiscal 2024, more than 9,000 volunteers supported Zooniverse projects. In India, we mobilized more than 8,000 volunteers to participate in the Empower Run 2024. For every 25,000 steps covered by each team, a mangrove tree will be planted, resulting in a total of more than 38,000 trees to support reforestation of the Sundarbans area in the Bay of Bengal.

Accenture's global Sleep Out team is raising awareness about youth homelessness and critical funds that ensure Covenant House can provide shelter, food, clothing, and essential services — including education, job training, substance use counseling, legal services, and mental health care — to young people overcoming homelessness.

In fiscal 2024, in the Philippines, nearly 340 Accenture volunteers collaborated with the Pawikan Conservation Center for a large-scale beach clean-up, helping to raise awareness about the preservation and propagation of endangered marine turtles. Innovating for greater good Through our social innovation programs, our people have opportunities to work with our clients and ecosystem partners to develop and accelerate fresh ideas.

Sustainability Innovation Challenge for our people and Social Innovators Accelerator In fiscal 2024, our Sustainability Innovation Challenge engaged nearly 2,000 of our people, generating almost 370 ideas.

We collaborated with 17 innovation partners, from Accenture clients, nonprofits and environmental and health-focused social enterprises, helping identify innovation spaces, down-select ideas, and provide feedback to teams along the way. Finalist teams' innovations include: Winner: Second Chance - connects formerly incarcerated individuals with job opportunities to reduce recidivism.

Runner-up: Circular Asset Indexing Toolkit - creates a circular economy of reusable components for large companies. Runner-up: TrashIT - manages e-waste in India through a circular economy model. The Social Innovators Accelerator provides funding and coaching for projects that have the potential to deliver clear social and environmental impact.

In fiscal 2024, 22 projects, including the Challenge winners, received such support. ReefCloud Marine Monitoring is an example of an idea that won the Sustainability Innovation Challenge and was subsequently developed into a solution making a tangible difference in the world, and winning a Red Dot Award in 2024, thanks to the support of the Social Innovators Accelerator.

Minimizing our environmental footprints Just like Accenture is committed to minimizing its environmental footprint, so are our people in their personal lives. To support them, we partner with Giki Zero, an online platform designed to help individuals reduce their environmental footprint by educating them about their environmental impact and empowering them to make sustainable choices.
