By investing in scalable and tech-driven solutions, Cisco contributes to sustainable development worldwide, particularly focusing on underserved populations and regions that require improved access to digital and social infrastructure. The Cisco Global Impact Cash Grant supports early-stage, high-impact programs developed by nonprofits and NGOs.
It focuses on innovative solutions that use technology to address critical social challenges. The grant prioritizes initiatives that improve service delivery, expand reach, and create measurable outcomes. Programs must align with Cisco’s core investment areas, including crisis response, education, economic empowerment, and climate resilience.
Emphasis is placed on projects serving underserved communities at scale. This funding opportunity encourages organizations to develop sustainable and replicable models that can create long-term change, making it one of the most valuable global nonprofit funding and tech grants available. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations and NGOs operating globally, including those seeking tech grants in India.
U.S.-based organizations must be recognized as tax-exempt public charities, while international applicants must demonstrate equivalent status. Programs must serve at least 65% economically underserved populations. Applicants should align with Cisco’s focus sectors such as education, climate resilience, crisis response, or economic empowerment.
Organizational overhead costs should not exceed 25%, unless justified. Institutions like universities are generally not prioritized. Strong emphasis is placed on innovation, scalability, and measurable impact, ensuring that funded programs effectively utilize technology to address critical social and economic challenges.
Applicants must first complete an eligibility quiz on Cisco’s grant portal to assess alignment with the program. Eligible organizations can then submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) detailing their project, target beneficiaries, and budget. Based on evaluation, selected applicants are invited to submit a full proposal.
Each stage is reviewed carefully, and only highly aligned, impactful projects proceed further in the selection process. The application process for the Cisco Global Impact Cash Grant remains open until 20 April 2026. Applicants are advised to begin early due to the multi-step evaluation process.
