Our vans provide abundant interior space, cargo capacity and accessibility for wheelchair and scooter users. You can also choose from our many truck or SUV options, which provide excellent cargo and towing capacity and can be made wheelchair-accessible* for a driver or front passenger. Explore the list of eligible adaptive equipment under the General Motors Mobility Reimbursement Program.
Your aftermarket accessibility equipment must be: * Permanently installed in the vehicle * Installed for a driver or passenger with a permanent disability * Purchased from and installed by a licensed equipment installer ### Apply for reimbursement The purchaser and a General Motors dealer representative will need to complete and sign the reimbursement application.
Submit the application with a paid receipt for the eligible accessibility equipment and installation. **Note**: If your Chevrolet Traverse is equipped with a BraunAbility® lowered floor conversion, you are not required to complete the Dealer Information or Confirmation section of the reimbursement application.
## How to get started when considering adaptive equipment ### Contact your local licensed accessibility equipment installer When having any aftermarket device installed in your vehicle, you’re responsible for contacting an independent licensed accessibility equipment upfitter* to have it properly installed. A good place to start is the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA).
They are certified through the Quality Assurance Program, a nationally recognized accreditation program for accessibility equipment installers. ### Contact a Driver Evaluator Before selecting a vehicle, consult with a driver evaluator (Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist or CDRS). Your CDRS will evaluate you and assess your driving abilities, suggest driving aids and determine if you need to have your driver’s license modified.
