Go Northern VA | Go VA Region 7 | Economic Development Initiative GO Virginia is a business-led economic development initiative with funding to invest in collaborative projects that bring more business and opportunities to the Commonwealth and lead to high-paying jobs in the region. Region 7 supports economic growth in Northen Virginia. All GO Virginia Region 7 proposals must align with the Region 7 Growth and Diversification Plan .
The plan will serve as a guide to applicants in identifying actionable grant requests. This year the Growth and Opportunity Virginia (GO Virginia) program will celebrate ten years since its creation in 2016. To mark the anniversary, the GO Virginia Foundation has released a series of videos highlighting GO Virginia's overall success, including highlights from each region and a "How Does It Work" informational video see below.
Region 7's Council identified these four key sectors as the region's focus areas to to increase local, high-paying, in-demand occupations and per capita income.
