com now through Oct. 9. McDonald’s franchise owner/operators across the Carolinas and Augusta will be selecting deserving educators and individuals who represent programs and organizations that fuel the imagination, education and growth of students.
Recipients will receive a share of $35,000. “I am thrilled to bring the McDonald’s Golden Grants Program to the Carolinas,” said McDonald’s owner/operator Josh Ranft. “Supporting the communities where we live and work is at the heart of what we do.
Through the Golden Grants program, we are able to directly invest in the local educators and non-profit organizations who are making a real difference where it’s needed most. ” This year, nine Golden Grants will be awarded based on creativity, innovation, need and hands-on application of projects across the Carolinas and Augusta. The grants available to win are as follows.
Five grants in the amount of $5,000 Four grants in the amount of $2,500 Activities that qualify for a Golden Grant include arts and crafts programs, education initiatives, mentorship and empowerment programs, after-school programs, community service outreach, sporting programs, and technology.
