Silver City Consolidated Schools serves over 2,500 students and employs approximately 259 teachers and 224 support personnel. They are structured in a configuration of an early learning center which houses Pre-K and Kindergarten, 1-6, 7-8, and 9-12. The team provides a 1-1 device program from Pre-K through 12th grade.
Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students are provided with iPads for school and home use while students in grades 1st through 12th grade utilize touchscreen Chromebooks. The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Awarded through a competitive application process, the program provides up to $3,500 to eligible local education agencies (LEAs) in Alabama.
