To propel us into a clean energy future, the City launched GoSolarSF, a program that provides financial incentives to help residents and businesses install solar panels on rooftops across San Francisco. GoSolarSF helps to reduce participants’ electricity bills and the City’s carbon footprint. Since the program launched in 2008, GoSolarSF has distributed nearly $30 million and incentivized 6,000 solar systems in San Francisco.
Important Information About Remaining GoSolarSF Funding GoSolarSF partners with Grid Alternatives , a non-profit solar installer that serves families with low incomes. Grid Alternatives operates the Energy for All Program , which includes the following program: Disadvantaged Communities – Single-family Solar Homes (DAC-SASH) .
Homeowners qualified to receive solar with the DAC-SASH program are eligible for a no-cost solar system, which can help reduce a family’s electric bill. Not sure if you qualify? Determine your eligibility by visiting Grid Alternatives' Energy for All Program webpage.
GoSolarSF provides DAC-SASH customers in San Francisco with supplemental incentives, helping make these no-cost systems a reality (subject to available funding). Customers must have a contract with Grid Alternatives prior to applying for GoSolarSF DAC-SASH program incentives.
Grid Alternatives will handle the GoSolarSF application for their customers, so please contact Grid Alternatives at 866-921-4696 for assistance or fill out their online application form at www. energyforallprogram. org .
