Average Undergraduate Scholarship and Grant Aid Available Annually to Online Students Average Graduate Scholarship and Grant Aid Available Annually Percent of Online Learners that Receive Federal Financial Assistance UMass Lowell Scholarships Many scholarships are available to support graduate and undergraduate students completing degree programs through the Division of Graduate, Online & Professional Studies.
Complete the application in the River Hawk Scholarship Portal , and you will automatically be matched to the scholarships for which you are qualified. Please see the River Hawks Scholarship Portal to learn about the application period each Spring. To qualify for need-based scholarships, you must complete the FAFSA.
However, submitting a FAFSA is not a requirement to apply for merit-based scholarships on the RiverHawk Scholarship Portal. Community College SuCCess Scholarship For associate degree holders from Massachusetts community colleges who earn a minimum GPA of 3. 000 and enroll in an online bachelor's degree, UMass Lowell provides scholarship funds to reduce the cost of all 3-credit courses by $125 for up to 60 credits.

ASL Adult Education Foundation Scholarships The Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL) Honor Society grants more than 20 scholarships totaling over $50,000 to inducted undergraduate online students each year. Veteran's Course Scholarship Veterans enrolled in an undergraduate degree or certificate program through UMass Lowell's Division of Graduate, Online & Professional Studies are eligible for a $300 scholarship.
The scholarship can be applied once to reduce the cost of a single course. Applications will be evaluated by the Graduate, Online & Professional Studies Scholarship Committee. Frequently Asked Questions Do online students qualify for scholarships?
Yes, online students qualify for scholarships. You can explore all scholarships on the River Hawk Scholarship Portal , but online students qualify for many other scholarships not provided by GPS (Online and Professional Studies). When you apply on the portal, you will automatically be considered for all scholarships for which you are qualified.
Do I need good grades to get a scholarship? Many types of scholarships are available to students, and not all require high academic achievement. Merit-based scholarships are awarded to students who stand out for academic excellence, while many other scholarships are awarded to UMass Lowell students based on need or other qualifying factors.
Do you have to pay back scholarships? No, unlike student loans, scholarships do not need to be paid back. Can I receive more than one scholarship?
