Graduate Student Association Research Grants

Graduate Student Association Research Grants is sponsored by UMBC Graduate Student Association. Provides funding for costs incurred through performing or conducting thesis or dissertation-related research, including materials, travel, participant incentives, and other research-related expenses.

Research Grants – Graduate Student Association – UMBC Graduate Student Association Research Grants can be used to fund costs incurred through performing or conducting your thesis or dissertation related research up to $1000 .

This includes research materials not available on campus or through other campus means, traveling to interview participants or collect data, research participant incentives, and most other things directly related to performing research. Research grants DO NOT cover costs related to attending or presenting at conferences or other professional development events. This funding is guaranteed for 6 months upon approval.

GSA does not reimburse for any purchases made prior to grant approval. This grant may be used for reimbursements for expenses incurred from the following general categories: Incentives for Participants State of MD Per Diem for Meals Medical Procedures Required by Travel (e.g., vaccinations) By applying for a research grant, you agree to the grant and research grant conditions.
