Please provide a valid email address and your full name With funding generously provided by The Recording Academy, the GRAMMY Museum Grants Program awards grants each year to organizations and individuals to support efforts that advance the archiving and preservation of the music and recorded sound heritage of North America, and research projects related to the impact of music on the human condition.

Grant funds have been utilized to preserve private collections as well as materials at the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian and numerous colleges, and universities. Research projects have studied the links between music and early childhood education, treatments for illnesses and injuries common to musicians, and the impact of music therapy on populations from infants to the elderly.

Each year, the GRAMMY Museum Grant Program awards grants to organizations and individuals to support research on the impact of music on the human condition. Examples might include the study of the effects of music on mood, cognition and healing, as well as the medical and occupational well-being of music professionals, and the creative process underlying music.

Priority is given to projects with strong methodological design and innovative research questions. The LOI includes the following information: 1. Project contact and overview 2.

A brief description of the project, including but not limited to the following: Methodology outline (number of subjects, control groups, etc.) Impact/application of research Existing project partners and/or financial support, if any 3. A description of the intended dissemination plan of the research findings (see guidelines) 4.

Brief biographies of key personnel 2025 Scientific Research Guidelines PRESERVATION IMPLEMENTATION: $20,000 MAXIMUM AWARD ASSISTANCE, ASSESSMENT AND/OR CONSULTATION: $5,000 MAXIMUM AWARD Each year, the GRAMMY Museum Grant Program awards grants to organizations and individuals to support the archiving and preservation of the recorded sound heritage of North America.

Preservation Grants have two funding categories: The LOI includes the following information: 1. Preservation Implementation Grant – organizations and/or departments located within an institution such as a library, museum, or other organization in which archiving, preservation, cataloguing and other related experts are accessible to the project.

The goal is to fund projects where the project materials have been identified and are in possession of the applicant. 2. Preservation Assistance Grant – this grant is available to help individuals and small to mid-sized organizations enhance their ability to preserve their collections which embody the recorded sound heritage of North America.

The goal is to fund the planning, assessment, and preparation of recorded sound collections to be archived or preserved. 2025 Preservation Projects Guidelines The application for 2025 Grants are now closed. Please check back to apply next year.
