GranML - Machine Learning for Granular Materials Industry # GranML - Machine Learning for Granular Materials Industry GranML aims to empower the granular materials (GMs) industries with artificial intelligence (AI). GMs are key to several processes in chemical-pharmaceutical, high-tech, agri-food and energy industry. Examples include laser sintering in additive manufacturing, tableting in pharma, et cetera.
However, these bulk material handling processes are notorious for inefficiency and ineffectiveness. To understand and enhance the process, GMs industries utilise computationally expensive and time intensive physics-based computer-simulations. This is where AI could be of immense value.
Recent AI-based developments for GMs show serious promise in faster virtual prototyping and reduced computational cost. Enabling industries to rapidly design, optimise and aid sustainability. https://doi.
