Local communities often face significant barriers in their ability to navigate the grants process, including: Lack of knowledge or experience in grants Lack of clearly identified needs that result in grant-ready projects WYGAP is designed to provide support to local communities in overcoming these barriers while building lasting local capacity to pursue and secure federal and state grant funding and implement grant programs in compliance with all regulations.

Request Technical Assistance How to Get Technical Assistance WYGAP provides grant management technical assistance at no cost to Wyoming State Agencies, local governments, tribal governments, non-profits, and small businesses.
Technical assistance requests are accepted on a rolling basis. You will receive a response to your request via email within 3 to 5 business days. The Technical Assistance Request Form is currently undergoing routine maintenance and will be available soon.

Who does the Wyoming Grant Assistance Program (WYGAP) serve? WYGAP provides grant management technical assistance to Wyoming State Agencies, local governments, tribal governments, non-profits, and small businesses. What will technical assistance through the Wyoming Grant Assistance Program (WYGAP) cost if we seek assistance?
Technical assistance is offered at no cost to State Agencies, local governments, tribal governments, non-profits, and small businesses under the Grants Management Office and Initiative. The Wyoming State Budget Department holds contracts with both, Hagerty Consulting and CliftonLarsenAllen (CLA), who can and will provide assistance, at no cost to the State Agency, local government, tribal government, non-profit or small business.
How can the Wyoming Grant Assistance Program (WYGAP) help my community or local government? WYGAP will reduce the burden on local governments who are facing a lack of capacity to secure grants and, additionally, lack of exposure and knowledge to the federal grant management lifecycle. This creates a safety net to draw information and resources from to be successful in securing grant opportunities at both the federal and state level.
How do I request technical assistance through the Wyoming Grant Assistance Program (WYGAP)? Local communities can request technical assistance by submitting a technical assistance request through the Wyoming Grant Assistance Program (WYGAP) Technical Assistance (TA) Request Form . What if my county/city/town already has a grant writer? If your county or town already has a grant writer, we encourage you to utilize our state resources through the Grants Management Office (GMO) and have our Grant Management Consultant provide a Quality Assurance review before the submission of your application. My county/city/town does not have a grant writer, how can I secure funds?
If your county/city/town does not have a grant writer, we encourage you to contact the Grants Management Office (GMO) Team by submitting a technical assistance request through the Wyoming Grant Assistance Program (WYGAP) Technical Assistance (TA) Request Form or emailing SBD-Grants@wyo. gov to seek technical assistance in grant writing, management, and supportive services.
