The Bower Fund awards grants to deserving nonprofits who’s mission and programs closely align with our mission and pillars (healthcare and education). In 2022 we held our first grant cycle, awarding two local nonprofits with a grant to further their programs.

Prior to submitting your application, you’ll need: copy of IRS determination letter to verify 501(c)(3) status copy of most recent annual report additional documentation as needed upon review of your application When do grants usually open? The grant application is open from March 1st-April 15th. How are grant recipients selected?
Grant recipients are selected from the pool of applicants by first meeting the following requirements: Submittal of a complete application containing all requested documentation and information. Assessment of how applicants’ mission and goals align with The Bower Fund’s mission of directly aiding children experiencing educational and healthcare needs.
The Bower Fund is fortunate that there are many dedicated organizations in alignment with our mission. Ultimate selection of grant recipients and the amount of the grant received, depends on the number of applicants and the dollar value available during the grant cycle. Generally, grants range from $2,500-$10,000.
Each successful applicant’s organization is discussed with The Bower Fund’s team and all collected information is weighed against other successful applicants. When are recipients notified? In May, potential grantees will be contacted to set up a due diligence site visit and interview with the Bower Fund Team.
The final notification of grant award and amount will be no later than June 15th. What are the requirements of grant recipients if selected? All grantees are asked to provide quarterly follow up stats, photos, and quotes or stories through the submission of a google form.
At the end of the grant cycle year, we ask for an impact report that outlines overall stats, a 2-3 paragraph impact statement, and photos through the submission of a google sheet.
