Grants may extend to children and families in need of help with bills, athletic opportunities, medical needs, or an opportunity that a child would not otherwise have. All grants are awarded to the family, but are paid directly to the specific purpose for which the grant was applied. Organizations that directly benefit children can also receive grants on an annual need.

www. daniellesfoundation. org Every quarter, Danielle’s Foundation awards a grant of $1000 to $5000 to one child or young adult with Cerebral Palsy or brain injury to get necessary care that insurance has denied.

Deadline for applications is March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. They also have frequent giveaways of equipment to a lucky applicant. www.

aubreyrose. org/grants An organization providing grants for children with life threatening conditions. Quarterly grants are awarded for educational scholarships and helping families with financial need in paying their children's medical expenses.

Family income is taken into consideration. www. nationalautismassociation.

org/family-support/programs/helping-hand A program providing grant funding for medical treatment, lab testing, medications and supplements not covered by the family’s insurance. Funding for this program is limited, and will be awarded only to families who are in dire need of financial assistance. Autism Cares provides support for families affected by autism during natural disasters and other catastrophic life events. They helps families to cover costs associated with critical living expenses such as housing, utilities, car repair, day care, funeral expenses, and other essential items on a case-by-case basis. Families must complete an online application and identify vendor(s) to be covered by the support award.

The mission of the Gia Nicole Angel Foundation is to enhance the daily functioning of a child with special needs and his or her family by awarding assistance through the purchase of a specific item or items.

This includes children with any physical disability (such as, but not limited to: spina bifida, paralysis, missing limbs) or illness (such as, but not limited to: cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, cancer). Funds are awarded on a case by case basis with preference given to lower income and single parent families. Families who wish to receive assistance must complete an application and demonstrate financial need.

Applications are accepted throughout the year! ACTION FOR AUTISM helps families attain the care, treatment, and educational support they may not otherwise be able to receive.

Funds assist with cost of schooling, physical, occupational, and speech therapies; provide care and support for children and families; help parents learn how to better support and teach their child; and also help families attain other services specific to the needs of their child. They assist families residing within a 250 mile radius of St.

Louis, Missouri Rest Haven Children’s Help Fund Rest Haven Children's Help Fund provides funds for health related services for children in San Diego and Imperial counties of California when no other funds are available. They provide one time or short term funding for health related needs for individual children who meet their eligibility requirements.

Up to $1,000 maximum one-time grant allowance per recipient family. Apply online.

An organization assisting families dealing with special needs in the Northeast Ohio counties of Ashtabula, Ashland, Carroll, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Holmes, Huron, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawus, and Wayne.

Funds awarded from the Family Support Fund initiative help to pay for camps, therapies, respite, medical expenses, assistive devices, and adaptive equipment needed to meet daily challenges. They will give up to $2500 in assistive equipment or essentials that will help the child learn or grow such as wheelchairs, assistive technology, etc. or $1500 in therapy - including therapies such as horse therapy.

They will give grants to eligible New York State primary caregivers of someone with a rare disease for: Equipment purchases such as wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, strollers, specialized beds, adaptive communication devices, vehicle modifications etc. Payment of medical expenses, including travel costs and therapy They also give grants to primary caregivers for free sessions with a licensed mental health provider.

They pay vendors directly for costs incurred when eligibility criteria is met. Referral must be made by healthcare professionals within hospitals, social service agencies, medical offices, schools, and treatment centers.
