Grants for Adaptive Sports Equipment, Automotive, and Home Needs Visit Careers Page & Join Our Team This page shares a list of programs that offer financial help to people with medical or mobility needs. These groups can help with things like wheelchairs, hearing aids, home ramps, and other equipment. Some also give small emergency grants or help veterans who were hurt while serving.

High Fives Foundation – Empowerment Fund Provides resources and inspiration to people with life-altering injuries such as spinal cord or brain injuries, amputations, or other mobility-limiting conditions. Offers assistance for materials like durable medical equipment or services such as home modifications for accessibility. Does not provide cash assistance.
Supports veterans severely injured in the line of duty by providing tools, therapies, and guidance. Operated entirely by combat veterans. Athletes & Sports Equipment Challenged Athletes Foundation – Grant Program Provides funding for adaptive sports equipment like sports wheelchairs, handcycles, mono skis, and prosthetics.
Also helps with training and competition costs for people with physical challenges. High Fives Foundation – Empowerment Fund Supports people with life-changing injuries such as spinal cord or brain injuries, amputations, or other mobility challenges. Grants are available in four main areas.
IM ABLE Foundation – Programs Gives grants to people with disabilities for hand-cycles, adaptive athletic gear, and training programs. Helps kids and adults stay active and enjoy the outdoors. Move United – Member Organization Grants Offers grants to support adaptive sports programs for youth, veterans, and education/training.
Nearly $1 million is given each year to local chapters. Semper Fi & America’s Fund Helps veterans and their families with financial needs during recovery. Offers support for housing, transportation, education, and more.
VA Adaptive Sports Grant Program Run by the National Veterans Sports Programs and Special Events Office, this program supports veterans through adaptive sports and arts. Bridge to Mobility is dedicated to increasing access to wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) for individuals with disabilities who cannot afford private transportation. It offers grant funding, resources, and partnerships to help wheelchair users gain mobility and independence through adaptive vehicle solutions. People with Spinal Cord Injury Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation (brpf.
org) Typical charitable grants help with home and transportation accessibility for people with mobility disabilities, especially those with spinal cord injuries. High Fives Non-Profit Foundation The Empowerment Fund supports athletes with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, amputations, or other mobility-limiting injuries. Provides grants to people with spinal cord injuries to support adaptive sports and recreation.
Supports people with spinal cord injuries by providing equipment, supplies, and services for daily living. Raises funds and offers scholarships to help people recover from spinal cord injuries. City of Chicago Accessible Housing Helps make homes more accessible with changes like ramps, stair lifts, roll-in showers, and wider doorways.
