Grants for Peacebuilding Projects is sponsored by Ploughshares Fund. Ploughshares Fund invests in and develops initiatives to decrease the world's nuclear stockpiles, prevent the emergence of new nuclear states, and promote stability in regions of conflict where nuclear weapons exist.

Ploughshares makes the world more safe and secure. How do we do it? By funding the organizations and people that make up the nuclear threat reduction field and supporting coalitions that address today’s nuclear challenges.

In line with Ploughshares’ organizational strategy of field building, our grantmaking is organized in the following four portfolios: This portfolio fund s critical organizations working daily to prevent nuclear war and reduce a variety of nuclear threats. Funding is flexible so grantees can adapt to an unpredictable world. This portfolio funds efforts to expand the nuclear threat reduction field and position it for success.

Grants will grow key skill sets, diversify field perspectives, encourage collaboration, and broaden the constituency for nuclear issues. This portfolio advances discrete near-term policy goals. It supplements the work funded under Core Support and allows for timely response to pressing developments.

This portfolio invests in exciting projects with the potential to revitalize the nuclear threat reduction field. Examples include start-up and proof-of-concept funding for novel ideas and activities. Ploughshares is always open to considering new partners and projects.
