Now Accepting Applications Sleep Research Program for Advancing Careers The Sleep Research Program for Advancing Careers aims to increase the number of early-career investigators who successfully apply for and secure external sleep research funding through a structured and mentored grant writing curriculum.
At the end of the Sleep Research Program for Advancing Careers, early career investigators will have the skills and resources necessary to successfully apply for a career development grant or equivalent.
Sleep Research Society Foundation Small Research Grant Program The AASM Foundation is partnering with the Sleep Research Society Foundation to provide seed funding to support training and research of trainees and early career investigators who otherwise do not have the institutional resources to support new studies and/or do not have a sustained record of external funding.
The Small Research Grant Program is administered by the Sleep Research Society Foundation. Aids sleep centers that have lost their ability to operate and provide patient care due to devastating damage to their facilities in the wake of local disasters (e.g. fire, floods, hurricanes, tornados or other natural or environmental disasters).
Career Development Grants Bridge to Success Grant for Early Career Investigators Provides ‘bridge’ funding to promising early-career sleep scientists who have applied for a career development grant such as a K-award grant from the NIH, a Career Development Grant from the VA, or an equivalent career development grant from another federal or non-federal entity.

Community Sleep Health and Public Awareness Grant This grant supports humanitarian, education, or awareness projects that focus on improving sleep health, sleep disorder evaluation and/or treatment in the community.

SRS and AASM Foundation Dependent Care and Accessibility Grant The SRS and AASM Foundation Dependent Care and Accessibility Grant provides up to $1,000 to be used for allowable SLEEP 2026 expenses.

AMA Foundation Sleep Medicine Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship The AASM Foundation partnered with the American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation to fund a new scholarship that is being administered by the AMA Foundation’s Physicians of Tomorrow program.
A scholarship will be provided to a medical student who is interested in pursuing a career in sleep medicine, maintains academic excellence and demonstrates a financial need. SLEEP Travel Grant for Sleep Technologists and Advanced Practice Providers The AASM Foundation invests in people, research, and communities to improve the sleep health of all people.

Howard University Medical Alumni Association Scholarship The AASM Foundation partnered with the Howard University Medical Alumni Association (HUMAA) to fund scholarships that are administered by HUMAA’s scholarship program.
Scholarships will be provided to Howard University medical students who are interested in pursuing a career in sleep medicine and demonstrating financial need. The AASM Fellow Boot Camp is an intensive two-day workshop designed to prepare incoming sleep medicine fellows for their training.
Through hands-on sessions, demonstrations, and interactive case studies, participants gain essential skills in sleep medicine, including diagnostic testing, sleep stage scoring, and managing sleep disorders.
