Grants for the Common Good - Grants In Georgetown County SC : Bunnelle Foundation Georgetown RISE Internship Program Staff & Board of Directors Grants for the Common Good The Bunnelle Foundation offers Grants for the Common Good in two cycles every year, Spring & Fall. This is a competitive program for organizations working in Georgetown County, South Carolina. Requests may be made for up to $15,000.

Funding is available for general operating or special project support . General Operating support is funding directed to an organization’s operations rather than to particular projects. Special Projects launch new programs, or help secure support from other funders.

IRS tax status must be one of the following: IRS certified 501(c)(3) public charity, house of worship, government entity, or fiscal sponsor. Funding should be spent and a final report submitted 9 months after the Foundation’s check is received. Organizations may receive no more than one Grant for the Common Good per 12-month period.

Encouraging Positive Youth Development: access to opportunities, programs, and resources that help youth reach their full potential.

Addressing the Root Causes of Poverty: circumstances or inequities such as low literacy, teen pregnancy, inadequate parenting, or catastrophic life events; Meeting Basic Human Needs: subsistence needs such as food, clean water and sanitation, shelter, health care, safety, and clothing; Promoting Economic Vitality: promoting stable families, workforce development, and community wealth-building; Preserving the Environment: the protection, preservation, management or restoration of natural resources.

View the program timeline 1. ELIGIBILITY QUIZ & LETTER OF INTENT The first section of the Letter of Intent submission form will help you determine your organization’s eligibility for the Grant for the Common Good program. After you submit your Letter of Intent , Foundation staff will evaluate it .

If your proposal is approved, we will invite you to submit a full application. We will contact you via email to invite you to submit a full application. The application form allows you to further explain your proposal and requests detailed information about the organization.

Staff and a community-based Allocations Committee will read and evaluate all applications. The Committee will develop funding recommendations for the Foundation Board of Directors, who will make final funding decisions. Grant requests are accepted online through our Grant Portal.
