Grants and Sponsorship Funding Cytokinetics provides corporate grants and sponsorships to organizations and initiatives on important health topics aligned with our research and development focus areas.

Grants provide funding for specific projects or activities that support scientific exchange, increase community education and services, and are provided without any expectation or tangible return to the company. Projects or activities should have defined objectives, start and end dates, and address a specific medical, scientific or community need.

Cytokinetics awards grants to programs from local, regional, and international organizations that are replicable, scalable and designed to have a lasting and meaningful effect in our communities, including scholarships, education programs, patient and family education or certain support services. Sponsorships are funding for events and/or activities that educate, raise awareness and advance thought partnership.

Sponsorships may provide Cytokinetics with exhibit space, banners and other forms of sponsorship recognition through formal agreement requirements. Sponsorships may also include membership in industry or corporate organizations, roundtable memberships and other similar industry partner programs. Sponsorship requests should include formal levels of support and corresponding recognition.

The Cytokinetics Corporate Giving Program consists of individual charitable donations for qualified 501(c)(3) organizations to support diversity in science education, equitable healthcare initiatives for cardiovascular disease and certain essential services for local and at-risk communities where we live and work. Eligible nonprofit organizations must meet the funding and eligibility criteria set out by Cytokinetics.

Explore the Corporate Giving Program Independent Medical Education Grants Independent Medical Education (IME) is generally defined as education for healthcare professionals (HCPs) provided by an independent educational provider, such as a community hospital, academic center, medical society/association or medical education & communication company.

IME grants provide funding for non-accredited and accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, which offer medical education credits to healthcare professionals upon successful completion. IME must consist of medical educational activities which serve to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance of healthcare professionals.

As part of industry-supported IME, and in keeping with ACCME, AAMC, PhRMA, and other applicable industry guidelines and codes, Cytokinetics has no role in determining content, faculty, or program development of IME.

Cytokinetics will consider supporting medical education activities in the following topic areas: Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Epidemiology and clinical features of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)​ Cardiac physiology and pathophysiology of HCM, including peak oxygen uptake (pVO 2 ) ​ Current therapies for HCM and unmet medical need in the treatment of HCM​ HCM diagnosis and care for allied healthcare professionals​ Biologic rationale for future HCM therapies​ Sarcomere dysfunction as a therapeutic target​ Mechanism of action of Cardiac Myosin Inhibitors (CMIs) Other research focus areas may be considered.

All areas of interest are the sole discretion of Cytokinetics and may be subject to change at any time. Cytokinetics Communications Grant Program The 2026 Communications Grant Program will open on September 23, 2025 and all applications are due by November 3, 2025, 5:00 PM Pacific.

Each year, the Cytokinetics Communications Grant program awards a number of grants to patient advocacy organizations serving the hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) or heart failure communities to provide funding in support of communications and outreach.

The goal of the Cytokinetics Communications Grant program is to assist patient advocacy organizations in expanding their reach, awareness and community engagement by providing resources for new or crucial communications initiatives that would otherwise be challenging to implement.

Funding from the Cytokinetics Communications Grant program supports marketing and communications programming or personnel activities, depending on each organization’s needs. Eligible organizations must have nonprofit or registered charity status in the United States, Canada, Europe, or the United Kingdom and serve patient communities in HCM or heart failure.

In addition to the standard due diligence review, applicable anti-bribery anti-corruption review will also be conducted. Organizations applying for the grant are required to submit a proposal outlining what activities the Communications Grant will support and the potential impact of the funding. Applications will be evaluated by a committee of representatives from Cytokinetics based on the proposal’s alignment with selection criteria.

The criteria include outreach expansion, awareness, community engagement, and impact. More details can be found in the application portal and here . Recipients are responsible for providing an outcomes report to Cytokinetics to measure impact at the end of the funding period.

Grants & Giving Guidelines & Application Process Cytokinetics receives more funding requests from outstanding organizations than Corporate Contributions can fund. While it is not possible for every organization to receive funding, those that are in alignment with Cytokinetics’ guidelines and mission are given careful consideration.
